Pam Wilson is feeling in the pink again.

Wilson, 71, was heartbroken when she walked out of a Dollar General store in Fort Worth, Texas — her car was missing along with Pinkie, her beloved white dog so named because of her pink belly. Planning to zip in and out of the store to buy dog food, Wilson had left the car running with Pinkie inside.

Police did recover the stolen vehicle, but the dog was still missing. Wilson immediately got to work and posted flyers.

Meanwhile, a man spotted someone pushing a dog out of a car in front of a local elementary school. The man caught the dog and took her in.

Fortunately, the man had also seen Wilson’s flyer at the Dollar General. Something about the white pit bull jogged his memory — he put dog and flyer together and came up with Pinkie.

He immediately called the police.

The police brought Pinkie to the Dollar General where Wilson was anxiously waiting. Wilson also got the chance to meet and thank the good Samaritan who had rescued Pinkie.

“I just can’t wait to pamper her and get her collar back on with her name tag on it,” Wilson said. “She’s not ever going to take that off again.”

Police arrested Joseph Bragg, 35, in connection with the carjacking.
